About Sam Virgillo
I have spent my entire career in television and radio broadcast engineering, currently with more than a decade as a full-time freelancer. My work includes video engineering for large-scale events, specializing in wireless camera systems, live camera control, and operator PL. I have extensive experience with digital video connectivity for major live broadcasts working with both coax and fiber patching.
I am proud to be a two-time Emmy Award winner for Technical Achievement and I bring that same level of dedication and attention to detail to every assignment I take on.
On the radio side, I provide complete broadcast engineering setup and operation using state-of-the-art audio equipment including custom-designed and custom-built pieces I’ve engineered myself.
My RF background spans AM broadcast transmitter support and maintenance, video microwave link setup and configuration, wireless microphone systems, and related RF applications. I even developed an RF calculator app for the iPhone.
If you’d like to discuss technical support for your upcoming event, feel free to reach out through the contact page.
